A six-lump kinetic model for HDPE/VGO blend hydrocracking
نویسندگان
چکیده
A six lump-based kinetic model has been developed for the hydrocracking of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) blended with vacuum gas oil (VGO) over a PtPd/HY zeolite catalyst. The blend (20 wt% HDPE and 80 VGO) hydrocracked in semi-continuous stirred tank reactor under following conditions: 400–440 °C; H2 bar; catalyst to feed (C/F) weight ratio, 0.05–0.1 gcat gfeed−1; reaction time, 15–120 min; stirring rate, 1300 rpm. model, which is an approach tackle complex mechanism behind HDPE/VGO blend, predicts evolution time product distribution (gas, naphtha, light cycle (LCO), heavy (HCO), coke). its computed parameters have used simulation establishing that C/F ratio 0.075 gfeed−1 temperature–time combinations 430 °C–10 min 440 °C–70 are optimal operating conditions. Under these conditions, proper balance between HCO conversion (>80 %), (>60 %) liquid fuel production index (>1.0) would be obtained. This could serve as basis scaling-up valorization waste plastics by co-feeding them industrial units, within Waste-Refinery strategy.

Hydrocracking Lumped Kinetic Model with Catalyst Deactivation in Arak Refinery Hydrocracker Unit
A kinetic model of a fixed bed tubular reactor incorporating catalyst deactivation was developed for the ISOMAX unit of Arak refinery. The kinetic parameters for the hydrocracking reactions over the commercial catalyst were determined using initial activity plant data i.e. when the catalyst is fresh. Catalyst deactivation was then taken into account by means of deactivation function based on pl...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
A Gas-Kinetic Scheme for Six-Equation Two-Phase Flow Model
A kinetic flux-vector splitting (KFVS) scheme is applied for solving a reduced six-equation two-phase flow model of Saurel et al. [1]. The model incorporates single velocity, two pressures and relaxation terms. An additional seventh equation, describing the total mixture energy, is added to the model to guarantee the correct treatment of shocks in the single phase limit. Some salient features o...

THE SCALING LAW FOR THE DISCRETE KINETIC GROWTH PERCOLATION MODEL
The Scaling Law for the Discrete Kinetic Growth Percolation Model The critical exponent of the total number of finite clusters α is calculated directly without using scaling hypothesis both below and above the percolation threshold pc based on a kinetic growth percolation model in two and three dimensions. Simultaneously, we can calculate other critical exponents β and γ, and show that the scal...
